A number of years ago I got hooked into the world of koi big time. Built a nice new pond, bought expensive beautiful koi, and even started a koi club here in Santa Fe. But time changes things, interests wane, the club died, the big koi were sold and the pond sat alone. The suddenly we had babies and we had to take care of the pond again. I'd thought of turning the pond into a swimming hole even. So now we are back into the swing of things as pond keepers in the southwest.
